Meet the Practioner

About Us
Hello! My name is Ashlee Roundy. I am passionate about filling the gap between physicians and patients by working together as a team to heal the human body through a functional and holistic approach. Functional Nutrition focuses on food, mind, and body, creating connection and empowering you to be the hero in your healing journey.
As a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner, I work within my Scope of Practice. A Functional Nutrition Counselor’s Scope of Practice is not to diagnose, prescribe, or treat illness. Instead, my role is to understand the whole person. Together we will address the terrain within which your signs, symptoms, or diagnosis manifested. I will educate you on why your health challenges arose and how to gain control of your health by utilizing my specific skillset to fill the GAP between physicians and the patient.
My Story
As a 7th generation Nevadan with a lineage of pioneer women who healed with food, my roots in holistic health run deep. Born and raised in the Las Vegas Valley, my lifelong rebellious streak has been fueled by a desire to advocate for others. My childhood dreams varied from being a brain surgeon to working in food service, each reflecting my diverse interests and innate desire to serve.
Growing up in a “standard American” yo-yo diet lifestyle, I was always aware of the importance of diet and exercise. However, diet and exercise weren’t always a priority. My journey through various fitness regimes, from Mickey Mousercise as a child to Tai Bo and Pilates in my teens and running miles in the desert pushing a stroller in my early adult life, laid the foundation for my understanding of physical wellness. However, it was my personal struggles with conditions like Anxiety, ADHD, PCOS, Alcoholism, and eventually Graves Disease that truly opened my eyes to the power of holistic health.

This awakening led me to explore and acquire a diverse set of certifications and skills. As a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor (CFNC) and a Functional Nutritional Lifestyle Practitioner (FNLP), I delved deep into the science of using food as personalized medicine. My path also led me to become a board-certified Holistic Health Practitioner with the American Association of Drugless Practitioners, a Herbalist, and a Reiki Master Practitioner, integrating energy healing into my practice.
I also hold certifications in Energy Psychology, which allows me to address the emotional and psychological dimensions of health. My experiences as a Professional Relationship Coach and Hypnosis Coach further complement my holistic approach, enabling me to offer support beyond physical wellness.
My accounting background brings a unique perspective of structure and precision, ensuring a meticulous and reliable approach to each client’s wellness plan. As a mother, I’ve learned invaluable lessons in patience, empathy, and the nurturing aspect of health, further enriching the guidance I provide to my clients.
My journey has not only been about acquiring knowledge and skills but also about personal transformation. I took control of my health, eating my way into remission from Graves Disease, and embraced a life free from pharmaceuticals. This transformation was not just physical; it involved healing the root causes of my symptoms and rediscovering a balance in life through mindful practices like yoga and meditation.
Today, my practice reflects my journey and the diverse skills I’ve gathered along the way. I focus on closing the healthcare gap, placing clients at the center of their wellness journey. My approach is not one-dimensional; it’s a tapestry of nutritional science, energy healing, psychological understanding, and ancestral wisdom. This unique combination allows me to offer a comprehensive, empathetic, and effective path to wellness, helping others to discover the incredible power of holistic health, just as I did.
